Interested in trying keto?

Wondering if there’s an easy way to get started?

Well I’m happy to tell you there is. And this free guide is all you need.

Keto is all the rage on the web these days, and for good reason.

Millions of people all over the country are losing weight and keeping it off with keto.

I’ve got more than a few friends who can’t stop raving about it and how much weight they’ve lost.

So after an injury last year stopped me from exercising for 8 months, I wanted to try out keto for myself. To see if it actually worked for me.

And boy did it ever!

The only problem was...
Most of the info on keto out there was pretty confusing. Even for a health writer like me.
Reading about keto online can be really confusing.
That’s why I decided to put together this free Ultimate Beginner’s Guide after my own keto experiment.

So that anyone interested in trying keto can get started right away.

Without getting bogged down in all the nitty gritty details.

Ready to get started?

Read on to discover how to start losing weight with keto today in just 4 simple steps...
Step 1: Stock Up On Fatty Foods
The first step to getting started with keto is to stock up on fatty foods. Because on keto, most of your total calories will come from fat.

Eating mostly fat calories is how you put your body into “ketosis”, which is where keto gets its name.

When your body is in “ketosis” you burn way more fat than normal. Your whole body actually shifts from burning carbs to burning fat.

But when I say fatty foods, I don’t mean hamburgers and pizza.
I’m talking about foods like eggs, bacon, cheese, butter, coconut oil, and avocados.
These are the foods you’re going to be eating a lot of every day on keto.
Most of your meals on keto should be made up from these foods. So you’ll want to keep your kitchen stocked with them.

Resisting temptations on keto can be a little tough at the start. That’s why it’s a good idea to have lots of keto-friendly foods around.

It doesn’t mean you have to get rid of all the other food in your house.

Just make sure you have good keto options around for when you get hungry.
Step 2: Keep Your Carbs To 20 Grams Or Less
To keep your body in “ketosis” and burning fat, you’ve got to keep your carbs to 20 grams or less per day.

Some people say you have to pee on strips or take regular blood tests to measure your ketone levels.

But that’s a real pain.

Especially when you’re just getting started.

So instead, just focus on keeping your carbs to 20 grams or less per day.
Get all your carbs from healthy sources like veggies and legumes. Avoid things like bread, pasta, rice, and sugar.
Make sure to get all your carbs from healthy sources like veggies and legumes on keto.
Because grains and sugar will kick your body out of “ketosis” so you lose out on all the extra fat burning.

Also: Don’t forget to count your fiber.

Veggies and legumes have lots of fiber in them. That fiber doesn’t count towards your carb total.

So if you look on a food label and it says:
Because there are 3 grams of fiber, that means you’re only getting 3 grams of carbs instead of 6.

This gives you a bit more breathing room when it comes to eating carbs.

And when you’re on keto, every little bit of breathing room counts.
Step 3: You Might Get The 'Keto Flu'
When you go into “ketosis” for the first time, you’ll probably get the ‘keto flu’.

It can be a little unpleasant, but if you’re ready for it, it’s no big deal.

Most people say it lasts around 3 to 5 days. I’ve heard some people have it for longer.

For me, it only lasted about 2 days.

So what is it?

Well it’s kind of like the real flu. The symptoms can include:

- Fatigue
- Dizziness
- Poor sleep
- Difficulty with exercise
- Irritability
- Cravings
- Constipation
- Nausea
- Confusion
- Decreased sex drive

You might feel “off” for a few days on keto.
Going through the keto flu means your body is shifting from burning carbs to burning FAT.
It’s a good sign.

Think of it like the sludge that’s at the bottom of your car’s gas tank.

The keto flu is your body burning through that metabolic sludge, which is really just carbs.

And once you make it through, your body is now in fat-burning mode.

That’s when the weight really starts to fly off.

I couldn’t believe how fast I dropped those first 8 or 9 pounds on keto.

A few of my friends said the same thing.
Step 4: Find A Great Protein Powder With Probiotics to Fight The Keto Flu and Supplement Your Protein Intake
On keto, you’re supposed to get up to 30% of your calories from protein.

That can be tricky when you're ingesting a lot of fat, which is kind of confusing for people trying keto.

Many people associate high fat with high protein, but that's not necessarily the case.

Avocados only have 2.9 grams of protein and 21 grams of fat.

Coconut oil only has 0 grams of protein vs 14 grams of fat.

And many meat proteins can actually spike your insulin levels and kick you out of ketosis.

So it is important to supplement your protein intake with a clean, natural protein powder that does not spike your insulin levels.

Plus protein has a ton of amazing weight loss benefits. You’ve probably heard that before, right?
Protein can speed up your metabolism and get rid of hunger cravings.
But if you find a protein powder that DOESN’T spike blood sugar, then you can have as much as you want on keto.
And without ever going out of ketosis.

I’ve heard some people call this a “hormone loophole”.

Because it’s really the only way you can get the weight loss benefits of protein and keto at the same time.

That’s why I’ve been trying out all kinds of different protein supplements lately.

The best ones I’ve found are plant-based proteins.

Dairy proteins like whey and casein just have too many hormones and antibiotics in them.

Another thing to look for in a great protein supplement is  probiotics

If your protein supplement doesn’t have a probiotic, it may end up going in one end and out the other - without your body getting any of the benefits.

         Probiotics can help you lose
             up to 3X more weight.
Some studies have even shown probiotics can triple weight loss in test subjects. So you don’t want to miss out on that.

This way, I can get all protein I need (about 1 gram per pound of body weight) without going out of ketosis.

Honestly it works great even for people who aren’t doing keto.

Because anyone who wants to lose weight needs to keep their insulin low.

So finding a protein powder that doesn’t spike insulin is really important. Whether you’re doing keto, paleo, vegan, low carb, or any other diet.

The manufacturer I’m getting mine from is running a promotion right now where you can get some for less than $1.50 per serving.

But that promotion ends this week so don’t wait.

It does pretty much everything it claims to do, you lose weight fast on keto.  You just need to supplement it with a filling drink or else you're cooking 3 meals a day.  No one has time for that. Going to try this superfood now.
